Kelly was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, where her passion for healthcare and a desire to serve others first began. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University. Subsequently, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Florida.
Her early career was rooted in critical care, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and later in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at St. Anthony’s Hospital. These roles honed her clinical skills, sharpened her ability to work under pressure, and deepened her commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
As a nurse practitioner, Kelly expanded her focus to obesity medicine and bariatric care. She holds a certificate from the Obesity Medicine Association and is committed to guiding patients through their weight loss journeys. She works closely with bariatric patients and their families, providing education, encouragement, and personalized care plans tailored to their needs. Her expertise encompasses the use of anti-obesity medications, as well as post-operative support, ensuring patients feel confident, informed, and supported throughout the entire process.
